Dotty Illusion Motif 2011 600 x 420 mm Oil on wood

This painting features a version of the 'Scintillating Grid' an illusion that creates the appearance of strobing black dots over the white dots. This was intended to question perception and locate the painting between mind and matter.

In addittion, once again this painting references game play and systems in its horizontal format reminiscent of a board game.
